Part of the popular Joe Chilehead series of sauces

Ass in the Tub Hot Sauce has earned a reputation as one of the line’s best-selling and most talked-about creations. While the name may raise eyebrows and spark laughter, the sauce itself is built on a carefully balanced recipe that blends classic pepper sauce ingredients with concentrated heat for a memorable burn.

A Warning from the Bottle

This is not your average table sauce.

Ass in the Tub Hot Sauce is crafted for those who enjoy pushing their heat tolerance to the limit. From the first drop, the sauce announces its presence with bold pepper flavor followed by an intense wave of heat that builds quickly and lingers long after the bite.

The name playfully hints at the experience many Chileheads know all too well: the kind of powerful heat that makes you appreciate the value of cold drinks, cool desserts, and perhaps even a refreshing ice bath after a particularly enthusiastic serving.

While the humor is lighthearted, the heat level is very real.

Crafted for Flavor and Fire

Despite its reputation for extreme heat...

Ass in the Tub Hot Sauce is not simply about overwhelming spice.

The recipe begins with a classic pepper sauce base that provides depth and balance before the heat takes center stage.

Key ingredients include:

• Aged red peppers that provide rich, developed chile flavor

• Distilled vinegar for brightness and tangy balance

• Tomato paste for body and subtle sweetness

• Onion and garlic powder for savory complexity

• Capsicum oleoresin pepper extract to deliver powerful, concentrated heat

Together, these ingredients create a sauce that starts flavorful and savory before unleashing the fiery punch that has made it famous among heat seekers.

Flavor Profile and Heat Experience

Ass in the Tub Hot Sauce opens with the familiar tang of vinegar and the bold character of aged peppers. The tomato base adds a slight richness, while garlic and onion provide a savory backbone.

Then the real excitement begins.

The addition of capsicum oleoresin extract pushes the heat level into serious territory, creating a rapid and sustained burn that seasoned chile enthusiasts will appreciate. The flavor remains present throughout the experience, making it more than just a novelty—it is a true hot sauce built for those who crave intensity.
