Roasted Turkey with CaJohns Fruit Salsa Glaze

Ingredients:

1 whole turkey (12-14 pounds)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 jar CaJohns Fruit Salsa

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the oven rack in the lower third of the oven.

Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and neck from the cavity. Rinse the turkey thoroughly inside and out, then pat it dry with paper towels. Season the turkey generously with salt and pepper, both inside and outside.

In a small bowl, combine the CaJohns Fruit Salsa, honey, Dijon mustard, and olive oil. Mix well to combine.

Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Tuck the wings under the turkey and tie the legs together with kitchen twine.

Brush the entire turkey with the CaJohns Fruit Salsa glaze, ensuring it is evenly coated.

Place the turkey in the preheated oven and roast for about 3 to 3 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the thigh reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the turkey with the glaze every 30 minutes during cooking.

Once the turkey is cooked, remove it from the oven and tent it loosely with aluminum foil. Allow it to rest for about 20 minutes before carving.

While the turkey is resting, you can make a gravy using the pan drippings. Pour the drippings into a saucepan, skim off the fat, and bring it to a simmer. If needed, thicken the gravy with a slurry of cornstarch and water.

Carve the turkey and serve it with the pan gravy. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.

Enjoy your delicious roasted turkey with the flavorful CaJohns Fruit Salsa glaze!

Note: The cooking time may vary depending on the size of your turkey, so it's always a good idea to use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches the correct internal temperature.
